So yesterday, I was checking out Netflix and one title caught my eye. The I.T. Crowd. My girlfriend had brought it to my attention in the airplane on my trip to England. I immediately fell in love with the series only to find out they only made 3 seasons of around 6 episodes per season. Here, check it out for yourself:
The I.T. Crowd is awesome. It reminds me of a British Big Bang Theory. The intellectual jargon tossed about along with the need to be accepted in the normal world. The characters are great. From Jen, the plucky redhead who doesn’t know the difference between ram and memory (they’re the same thing!), Roy whose geekiness always gets in the way of him getting a girlfriend and Moss… oh Moss, so awkward and ignorant about the real world but you can’t help but love him because he grabs it by the neck and owns it so well.
When I was younger I used to hate British comedies. But recently I’ve been finding a taste for them. The relaunch of Doctor Who is brilliant, The Vicar of Dibley is hilarious and Simon Pegg’s Spaced is a geeks wetdream. I guess it’s true what they say, your taste buds change as you age. I don’t think they meant it in my particular circumstance but it works nonetheless.
So go check it out! Either online, or if you’re lucky enough to have Netflix, stream it for free!
